Fairytale of New York

Christy Moore sings the popular Christmas song, Fairytale of New York, originally sung by The Pogues. He doesn't sing in the drunken persona, so you can hear the lyrics better (changed as they are...) A note for those who fear the lyrics are homophobic, the term "faggot" apparently means "useless and stupid" in Irish slang...

For the purists, here's the original complete with drunken slurring and the fantastic Kristy McColl (I love it when she joins in!)

I greatly prefer the original, but the cover was helpful because there were a few lines that I'd never quite known...the "NYPD choir" always had me stumped for some reason...

thanks
