Alice in Wonderland Porn

Setting aside suppositions of Lewis Carroll's inappropriate attraction to little girls, Alice in Wonderland has, more than once, inspired dirty incarnations of itself.

Thanks to the vast uselessness of the internet, I have discovered the existence of Alice in Wonderland the porno musical comedy. Something for everyone. We found a few clips on Youtube, so these clips don't actually include any visible rude bits, but you can pretty much guess what may happen next. It may still offend delicate sensibilities and isn't really safe for work, so don't say I didn't warn you.

It looks to be a lot more lighthearted than the Alan Moore collection of graphic novels, Lost Girls. God that was depressing. In case you haven't heard about it, it's the story of the grown up Dorothy, Wendy, and Alice of Oz, Neverland, and Wonderland respectively who meet up in a rather debauched hotel that hosts a fair number of orgies of very broken, sad people. The women share stories of their sexual awakenings, which rather controversially took place during their childhoods. It's not for everyone, and is quite disturbing, so don't say I didn't warn you should you be curious enough to pick it up. It's an exploration of dark erotic fantasies that arouse some and damage others, sometimes achieving both effects on the same individual within the context of the tale. Only Alan Moore would tackle a subject as dangerous as that. Despite his looking like a Charlie Manson follower, he's probably loads of fun down the pub.

Alice in Wonderland is a masterpiece in how it attracts so many interpretations, and resonates with a wild variety of people thru ages and generations. I recently found out that Salvador Dali illustrated Alice's Adventures in Wonderland back in 69. Many an artist have illustrated this book too over the years, but Dali's surreal images are in a league of their own! Last month I walked into a Dali exhibit in Bruges, and there they were... Dali's Alice adventures! I have a couple on a related post if interested ;)

Arabianmonkey, I'm quite drawn to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland for its apparent abandonment of storytelling for the purpose of conveying a lesson in morality. Storytelling for the sake of storytelling is a beautiful thing just as much as storytelling to educate, motivate, and inspire. Apparently L.F. Baum felt the same way about his Oz stories. I'm paraphrasing, but I read recently that he wrote those stories simply to excite the imagination of kids and not to express any moral in his story. That kind of innocence and excitement at life is so charming.

Hani, I have no shame, that's why. :) I just hope not to offend TOO many people.

You wouldn't happen to own Lost Girls, would you? I've been interested in reading it since seeing it in a bookstore, but didn't want to shell out the $$ necessary to have a sexually questionable book in my home where:

a. it would give my husband way too many ideas - he doesn't need any more prompting than his own libido already provides

b. it could be found and read by my 12 year old and increasingly curious son.

I can't seem to find a library that has it available either...but I'm dreadfully curious...so if you'd be inclined to lend it to a colleague, I think some bacon-chocolate chip cookies could be offered as barter...

No trade necessary... I shall let you know once a friend has returned it to me. Then we shall figure out how I shall get it to you! You'd have to be very surreptitious because the books are large and the graphic content isn't limited to the inside of each book!
