Geeks Unite In Mourning... A Hero Has Fallen.

Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, passed away today. An inappropriate joke could be made about missing a roll, but none shall be made by me.

OMG, this makes me want to cry! Seriously! I started playing D&D back in the 1970s when I was a little kid. This is like part of my childhood, dying :(

What might even be more sad is the fact that I still play D&D with my husband and our friends...
Have no fear, I'm sure the nerdy dream will live on for generations to come.

Somehow, it makes me very happy that you play D&D, teacherlady! I'm not sure why! Thanks for sharing that :)

There's one my husband directed me to... His favorite is number 5. Quite a familiar quote with regards to those who get quite attached to their characters and fail to let go of them when they pass on!
