Fanfare!

If ANYONE out there knows where I can find Fanfare chocolates, I will cover you from head to toe in warm gratitude and kisses! :P It was a favorite of mine and had a golden wrapper and inside was a little plastic tray of about five fingers of hazelnut chocolate wrapped in a wafer thin tube and covered with milk chocolate. Oh my GOD I miss those so much! They don't sell them in my old hometown anymore, so I can't even look forward to them when I visit my family. I did a brief search on the Internet and didn't really come up with anything.

Yeah, those are good too, but there's something about Fanfare I REALLY loved... How sad to remember a taste so distinctly and to think I'll never taste it again! I'll definitely stock up on Galaxy chocolates the next time I'm home... I like those ones that are like enormous M&Ms... Were they called Minstrels or something? Oh those were good!

Have you found them? Thanks

Being a fan myself, and working in the food industry, I decided to look for who manufactures them. Fanfare the way it was does not exist anymore, and now goes under the name of Amicelli.

Darn... they are lost to us forever... Well, thanks for doing the investigative work for us, anon.

I know, it's just sad... I wonder if I'm remembering wrong, but were they produced in Kuwait?

They are Amicelli!! I grew up over seas. Used to get FanFare all the time. Was my favorite candy as a child. Did a lot of researching before I finally found them. I ordered them. They are individually wrapped and a little longer than the FanFare were, but they are the EXACT same product.

Gosh! I just wanted to chime in as well. I live in Canada now, but grew up in Dubai, and Fanfare (along with Kinder) was my favourite as a kid. My mom used to buy a couple of big golden boxes at a time (I think 32 came in each box) and I would chomp through them in no time :)! I remember looking for Fanfare some years ago but have not tried the 'new' version of it yet. Hmmm... from the comments it looks like it was only available in the Middle East... aah here's to reminiscence

hmmm fanfare was my favorite too and i guess it was the favorite of our generation that grew up in the gulf in the 1980's and 90's.. it sad for a company to take over another and kill a product
